"When" question using 3x3 - Updated

I have found this spread precise, to the point and expansive than a linear spread of 9 cards. I would rather have dealt a 5-cards linear spread for "when" question but I wanted some extra details too. Therefore I used 3x3 spread.

This question/Reading is from journal dated April 19th 2012:

The question relates to the bad depressing time I'm having recently. I am not a person who would like being hopeless, drained, depressed and drowned but this time the situation does not looked quite favourable.

Q: When will this period of depression end?

I did not choose the 29-Lady card for this but it fell in the central theme position. It looks like its entirely up to me when I want to end this period of depression and all along I was sure that it was not up to me. 

First card usually tells your current thoughts:

 Heart, oh how I so feel deprived of love and affection for myself these days. 

Columns:

Past: In the past I have had some great time, some thing nice and warm and also excitement. I was very excited for my birthday actually which was ruined by the way.

Present: Mice - Lady - Letter

Imagine how I'm being eaten up in my head, how worries are nagging at me, and I'm anticipating for some news, a ray of hope, anything to come my way. Basically I'm desperately hoping for a news about a change in the situation.

Future: Looks like a negative message or some shocking message is coming my way which will then bring a change after a brief period of this depression.

Rows:

First row: I do feel deprived of love and affection these days and I'm hoping for a news, anything that will make my day.

Second row: The pleasures and joys of the past have been over. I feel really drained of all the energy I have.

Third row: I'm anxious about a news, anything that will bring a change (Storks) in my situation.

Diagonals:

Heart - Lady - Storks = I' d love a change, which seems to be coming in future

Rider - Lady - Birds = I'm anxious and worried about whatever is happening so fast.

Rider - Flowers - Storks = A good news will bring a change

Heart - Coffin - Birds = A heartache followed by some release of emotions through communication with someone. 

Heart - Letter - Rider = A heart to heart correspondence with someone, may be a man.

Birds - Mice-Storks= Stop worrying and change will happen.

The good news is that Storks is the last card which assures that a change in situation is predicted in future.

The When part can be answered by the central row.

Coffin is the pain which is short-lived. It would have been dreadful if I had seen Cross there.

Flowers are what live for short time. They die fast.

Lady is me, so lots of it already depends on me.

Conclusion:

I concluded from this reading that this period is short-lived, may be 9-10 days on the most, Rider is fast card , Mice is fast card, Coffin and Flowers are short-lived and Change (Storks) is just right around the corner.

Update:

I have a confession to make, when my bad time started, I pulled out Rider for that day. When the bad time ended I pulled Storks on that day, sometimes you can tell when a change happens in situation and the cards say so for that daily draw. During the time when I was going through the depressing phase, I was constantly pulling Cross, so so so many times. Then finally I pulled Cross+Coffin and I knew its over now.I now can safely say that today on April 26,2012 things are a lot better. What helped me the most is heart to heart talk with a friend of mine and then some self-analysis. Some pains are short-lived but they leave their impacts for a long-time.

Timing Question!

I did this reading on January 2nd when my bf and I decided to set a date for our meeting for longer than just couple of hours. I did this spread to ask when we will finally do it.

Scythe - Moon - Fish - Ring - Child

This looked like it will be decided without thinking much, at night(Moon) and there will be some confusion about this since the relationship is relatively immature yet (Child).

In terms of timings:

Autumn - a Lunar Month (28/29 days) - Pisces (Feb-Mar) - Taurus (Apr-May)- N/A

Since Autumn is too far now in January, its unrealistic, late Feb will be too late but then the concerns would be resolved by then.
My guess was it would be in late Feb-March since Fish is in the middle.

Update: We ended up deciding the date of 28th Jan for that because February would be too late for us and we are not that patient . This gives us the time of a Lunar month, because its roughly about 26 days since from the time I did this reading. We did decide it VERY suddenly and I did cancel it 3 times. I have too many concerns about the relationship being too immature right now but we are meeting on 28th and its decided.

UPDATE 28th Jan, 2012. We met, it took unexpected turns because things did not go how we planned them. Our moods were varying and there was so much emotional attachment during the entire meeting, it gave a whole new dimension to our relationship. The only bad part was the unexpected happening and my mood variations, which make sense with Scythe+Moon

Number of cards and time they take to manifest

I have experienced almost all spreads for Lenormand oracle readings and they have worked pretty well for me.
Here in this post I will explain the number of cards I drew for some reading and how long it took for manifesting:

Note: If you click on the number of cards, you will see an example reading as in how to use this number for that specific time frame.

1-3 cards = 1-3 days. I do daily draw of 2 cards and a clarifier IF I need one!

5-cards = for general question, questions which will be manifesting in a week, or within the same day, or questions which are not based on timing, sort of NOW kind of questions.

7- Cards = A week. they have worked perfectly for me for about longer than 10 weeks now.

9-cards = I use a Line of Nine for specific question, the 3x3 formation kind-of doesn't work for me. The results usually manifest in a month.

13 cards = This spread is given in Iris Treppner's course and it is said it covers a period of 3 months and one should wait for the predicted events to occur before laying the cards again. For me the cards in future position appeared for one reading , within 15 days.

36 Cards = They have worked well for answering different aspects of a situation, from a period of 1 month to a period of 4 months. I haven't done one for 6 months but I sure have done one for the year 2012, so if it works well in that domain, I will post it here.

These are different time frames with number of cards which I have experienced so far!

Timing Update 2: When Will I get a Job?

Anchor - Scythe - Roads - Key - Tree

(3-5yrs) - (autumn) - (libra, sept-oct) -  (N/A) - May

Highly controversial Spread. I get a feel that if I do not make a decision soon its going to take a long time. Anchor and Tree both suggest delay and slow movement. The Scythe expects a sudden decision as to what I want to do and the key means the answer will come but a little late and with a delay. I often get a Tree in my job questions.

On to the timing thing, In Autumn I was presented with two different jobs opportunities. I have to choose one.  22 and 33 are master numbers and they are both present here side by side. I feel like the answer is not decided unless I take a decision.

Update: This is my spread from first week of December and it was on spot. At that time I had not even applied for a Job and now I have got one. Its a medicine-related job, thus, the Tree. The Key has been my answer and my guide all along. Timing wise it has not been that much on spot but it was right about the Roads card in middle, I had to look for an alternative instead of putting all my eggs in one basket and right after doing that, I got the job I applied for. This is destiny and fate (Key). The cards helped me with the "where" part too in this spread.

Q: When will I get the call for the xyz bank's written test?
I have to take this test to reach the final interview. They told me the test is conducted by third party and the date is decided by that institute which takes the test. So its delay at their end.

Storks - Fox - Ring - Man - Stars

no cards for communication/call/message. The storks "brings" something and has been appearing a lot in my readings.The Fox can be the situation related to Job. The Man+Ring, Storks is straight from my GT 's 4th line, Stars diagonal to him. i wonder who he really is.

The Ring in the middle tells me there are cycles for the tests they conduct. so may be the batch they have put me in is not complete yet and they are looking for more candidates to fill the batch (Fox).I just don't understand the Ring+Man is giving me a totally different feel.

ok what is going on really? It cant be that late. They do not need that long to put me on a list.

Update: All along the Ring+Man was giving me a different feel, like the key man has been unavailable or busy and this is where the delay has been originating from.

The Fox was telling me to dig the matter. and It was right. The very next day I rang them to ask and they told me that the man who had to approve my application was gone on honeymoon and will be back next week. This is why the Ring+Man was catching my eye. The Storks+Fox tells me to find next, and for timing I get Storks +Ring = Next Year and Stars is Aquarius, Jan-Feb. This fits because now it will be after the winter and new year holidays. I should wait till January.Its true that its all about what feel you get from the spread instead of the spread or combinations, they are there just to help.

Timing with lenormand

I wanted to test some methods specially with our readings thread on AT, therefore, I decided to do it for myself.

Q: When am I going to meet the man who is my next long-term serious romance?

A while ago I did the same using the same deck but with another method. This method is given in Treppner's course and it states that a card must be chosen in order to represent the matter and then whichever house the card falls in the 9x4 spread that is the time for that. I chose the Significator Heart for love, and started shuffling. When it felt right I dealt the cards. The Heart card fell in house of Lilies, that is number 30. The 30 is winters.

Now today I was focusing on the same question, using Andy's method given on his blog.

The card Lily and Ring fell out.I put the cards back and started shuffling. Dealt following five cards out:

Tree - Mice - Lily - Fox - Coffin

May - Soon, eating at delay - Winter - (N/A) - Scorpio (Oct-Nov)

The Tree shows delays, it always delays things for me, but the Mice is eating up the delay caused by Tree. The Lily is right in the middle again, so that means Winter. The Fox card is not used for timing and Coffin represents Scorpio Oct-Nov. We are already in the Scorpio and Winter period. Mice tells me its soon, I wonder if I have already met him *sheepish Smile*.

Q: When am I getting in my next committed relationship?

House - Ring - Dog - Birds - Fox

One month -   Apr-May -  N/A  - December or 2 - N/A

This December is Next Month. It looks very very promising now 8D. But how can it happen in one month I haven't even met him yet :s so I think House=1, Ring = Year, together they make one year. Birds say December or 2nd. This can be the 2nd December from today. I don't know why but this is the feel I get.
