Daily Draw: Cross + Lilies + Flowers

Weather: Sunny / Cloudy
Cards: Cross + Lilies + Flowers (Boquet)

Key Card:  Cross
Key words: Burden, pain

Prediction:
Lilies represent sexuality, passionate energy. Next to the Cross being key card, it looks like there is suffering because of extra/passionate/sexual energy. With Flowers next to Lilies, I want to term this a booty call since Flowers represent a visit or an invitation of some sort. But Cross is the key card, it will be a painful or rather something that causes displeasure.

What Happened in relation to cards: Hard to jot this one down without getting my blog rated for sexual content. It was related to minor discomfort.

Daily Draw: Lady + Anchor + Coffin

Weather : Snow / Rain
Cards: Lady + Anchor + Coffin

Key Card: Lady
Key words:

Lady + Anchor: A lady who is stable and anchored, grounded, working woman because Anchor is work card for me
Lady + Coffin = an ending, lady for whom something is ending
Anchor + Coffin = end of stability

Prediction: A lady and something about her job ending or her stability coming to an end.

What Happened in relation to cards: During these tough times, I was expecting this but I got to hear about a lady losing her long-term because of the organization closing their operations here.

What do we need to know about Corona Virus COVID-19?

Weather: Cloudy
Cards: Moon + Mice + Crossroads

Key Card: Moon
Keywords:
Moon: Public recognition, intuition, emotions, night-time
Mice: nagging worries, loss of sleep, whatever is to right is lost
Crossroads: options, decisions, more than one

Moon + Mice = loss of sleep, stressful nights, worrying  recognition, hidden things surfacing

Looking at the Moon being main card, I can see that this virus has got our attention and should be paid attention to. There will be phases of highs and lows just like the moon changes its phases. Next to the moon card, we have Mice, which also means loss of sleep for me. I am sure many are having sleepless nights. There is constant worries and emotional dilemma with both people and authorities right now.
With Mice and Roads, I sense there are not many options available. We need this to globally take it's toll and then find alternatives.
We need to rely on our instincts and creativity here. I still take Moon as a positive card here with Roads and believe there will be alternatives found soon. Maybe in couple of lunar cycles, we get to hear a piece of good news.

What are your cards telling you?

Combinations which make sense!

This post includes some of the three cards dailies which have been very accurate for me:

Heart - Dog - Ship

A friend you love is travelling

Coffin - Man - Mice

You feel depressed because of a man and you uselessly worrying about him.

Bear - Heart - Mice

What does not kill you makes you stronger. Your heartache can be your biggest strength.

Clouds - Letter - House

One email you forward to two men, and this email clarifies something which was uncertain before.

Ship - Key - Clouds

You know what you have to do, you just don't know if its what will work.

Mountain - Lilies - Moon

A man emotionally shuts himself and you are left wondering what went wrong. Be very careful.

Flower - Scythe - Tree

A lady and a man are happy because they move out of their home and basically they cut from their roots (family) and this gives them joy (Flowers).

Sun - Key - House

Most amazing feeling of being happy and content.

Child - Flower - Coffin

A young woman who was happy before, feels like its ending now.

Birds - Moon - Mountain

A busy day. No time for chit chat or expressing yourself what so ever.

Stay Tuned for more....

Book + Moon = Stichomancy

Book = the occult, mystery, secret, learning, a book literally
Moon = Dreams, psychic messages, subconscious

Yes I'm not joking seriously. This one came up in my reading few days ago when I offered two readings on a forum. Actually I once did them for my friends, so I thought why not give it a try again, just for the sake of some refreshment. Sometimes the psychic energies are high and I feel like making most of it, that is when I offer two-three readings for free.

So I was using the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer for the readings.Reason being, this is the only series which is very very close to my heart. You will find many people my age being fantasized by the most romantic fictional characters of this time, Edward the Vampire and Jacob the werewolf.

A strange thing happened after I posted the post offering the two readings. I do my daily draw at night, the cards were Book + Clover + Moon. At that time I thought this might has something to do with my test in class next day. I was wrong. When I was asleep, I saw Breaking Dawn in dream. I do not remember the story in dream or anything but I saw Bella with red eyes, which implies it was Breaking Dawn Part 2 which has not been filmed completely yet. Anyhow next morning it more like a surprise when I recalled the dream to put in dream journal.

Even strange it got when I was watching TV in the afternoon and changing channels, I saw...oh yes you got it right, New Moon was coming on the cable. It seemed like there was something special happening with the draw, the readings offered and the Twilight series.

I still am not able to make much sense of situation yet, but that was something creepy. We have a new combination for lenormand combos!

Stichomancy: (Sticho = Row , line, verse) is divination reading a random verse from a poem.

Ring +Cross: A time to bid farewell!

Note:
These meanings and associations are personal, learnt through time and experience. Your cards might show you the meaning of this combination in a different way.Last, but not the least, this is not the only meaning associated with this combination.

Ring is the card which we look at as something that binds us strongly. It can be a relationship (that's the general meaning I assign to this card since that's what it has represented couple of times in my readings, specially weekly ones). This relationship can be one which does not bind you to each other but where you and the other person are just going round and round playing silly games. One day you get tired of it and you suddenly, desperately want an out of it.

On the other hand, Cross is the card which literally means where we have to bare a cross, burdens, karma and destiny. These words sound promising when next to Ring, but the downside is, destiny or fate does not always bring us what we want.

When this combination occurs in a love question specially, you will know that:

  • You have no way out.
  • The only way out is through it.
  • The way through is not the most desirable one.
  • Fate and destiny always bring us not what we think is best for us, but what Universe or God deems better for us. We might not always be happiest with it.
When I had this appeared in my daily draw, my patience was put to test by a man with whom I feel a strange emotional bond. I know that he and I can never stop arguing, we will never stop fighting each other off, and yet, he is my best friend and I'm his and we will always share this strong bond, no matter how much patience it requires!

Book + Fox: Detective work!

Note:
These meanings and associations are personal, learnt through time and experience. Your cards might show you the meaning of this combination in a different way.Last, but not the least, this is not the only meaning associated with this combination.

Book is mainly looked at as "Secret" and the "Unknown". We see here the book is closed and we don't know what its about. The secondary meanings which I associate with Book is education, my Final Project specifically, since the cards have often chosen this card to represent my project. The Book, besides these meanings, can be documents, paper-work, letters, diaries, or occult knowledge.
Its something you need to learn about or discover.

There is a theory about Book card. The card towards the open side of the Book is something you know about, something you have a little idea about. The card to the spine side (right side for this deck) is what you have no idea about. I experienced this in my monthly GTs where I got the combination Book+Dog in one month and Dog+Book in next month. The first month was when this person had not appeared in my life, yet, and the second month was when I knew a little (not much) about him.

The Fox card has been talked about and discussed a lot in these two posts; here and here!

I said in that post the direction Fox is facing is what needs to be sniffed out, what requires an investigation and what can be wrong. The Fox is towards the Spine side of the Book, so one can assume, there is some lie or cheating which is not discovered yet. The Fox will sniff the Book, but won't be able to get much out of it since its facing the Spine side of the Book. so we can say:

  • Despite the effort, secret won't be revealed
  • Sniff out a secret
  • Finding out a secret
  • Detective work
  • Make sure the documents are complete before you dispatch them.
I sense I will get a news about my project document that I submitted yesterday, I hope I did not miss anything in that!

Update: The day I had this combo drawn, the next day i was literally checking The Secret out at a book store! amazing!!!

Fox + Ship

Note:
These meanings and associations are personal, learnt through time and experience. Your cards might show you the meaning of this combination in a different way.Last, but not the least, this is not the only meaning associated with this combination.

Here we looked at Fox as an adjective, now we will look at it as a Noun.

Fox is the card of lone-wolf style and Ship is also a lonely ship moving in the vast sea. This is the first thing I see common among the cards.

Fox looks for answers, Ship looks towards fulfilling dreams and wishes, Fox is clever, Ship is exploratory, Fox finds facts and logic, Ship is carefree, Fox is deceitful, Ship is wishful.
These are some of my thoughts on both.

Fox represents a warning, what one must be careful about. The way Fox is going is what needs proper sniffing, however, what is next to Fox is what helps or aids the sniffing or digging IMO.

The Ship is card of journey mainly. It can be a small journey or a holiday trip. It can be the movement, change and longing for something. The waters represent emotions and the waves are ups and down we face, the Ship is exploratory. It explores the foreign lands (waters).

If you look at both pictures, they are moving in opposite directions.
If you are going on a trip and these cards appear, be very careful, something is bound to happen, so do check your vehicle, your flight schedule, the travel documents you need.

 Together they can mean:

  • Exploration of facts
  • Change is the name of the game
  • Moving on is the clever thing to do
  • A trip/journey will help unveiling something or finding out something
  • A movement which one needs to be careful about
  • Find it out!
  • You need a strategy for fulfilling your wishes.
These are some of my thoughts on this combination, please comment if you have something to add.

Ring + Anchor: Stability or restriction?

Note:
These meanings and associations are personal, learnt through time and experience. Your cards might show you the meaning of this combination in a different way.Last, but not the least, this is not the only meaning associated with this combination.

Ring, obviously means a relationship which you are devoted towards, a marriage, routine, cycles, processes, something that happens over and over again, contracts which legally bind you, a bond very strong.

In love, its commitment, not necessarily a marriage.

In career and studies its a process, cycle, a batch, completion of a task, end of semester, work contract.

I associate Saturn with this card 35-Anchor because it reminds me of determination and stability Saturn bring, not to mention how restricting it is. This card appears a lot around a Capricorn friend of mine in my readings. Anchor restricts a ship from moving, so if you are Ship kind of personality, this is your restraining factor. The positive meanings are durability, comfort point (Anchor keeps you at dock, your "anchor point"). German meanings associate this card with work.

Traditionally, if we look at this combination, it would be a Job/work contract, but there are other meanings as well, in terms of love and relationships specially.
Ring + Anchor represents a relationship which is comfortable, which is stable and durable, but again, if you are a kind of person who needs space in relationships, this is a chain around your neck. The Anchor will make the relationship a lot routine-like, very solid, but can be boring as well. Analyse which relationship of your life is pinning you down and is restricting your movement when this card appears. It can also be a relationship from past which is keeping you from moving on.

Mountain + Key: Definite delays!

Note:
These meanings and associations are personal, learnt through time and experience. Your cards might show you the meaning of this combination in a different way.Last, but not the least, this is not the only meaning associated with this combination.

Mountain is the "hard" card. It brings delays, burdens, blockages that are longer lasting and stresses you out (just like climbing a mountain will). The word "delays" is associated with this card because whenever we have to climb a mountain, it slows our speed, besides adds extra miles to our journey. Its the "tough" card.

This card can also represent barriers, which can be both for good and bad as well. Whatever is behind this card is being blocked. As a person, I will call this person stubborn.

The Key card is the Yes card of Lenormand juts like Mountain is "not now" card. This card unlocks things, brings answers, solutions, confirmations, the surety, it is something that will sure happen. This card tells us what will happen with certainty. That is why its a "yes" card.

I was going through "A playing card Reader's Notebook" by Kapherus  and I read this for Eight of Diamonds "From an older meaning of "Spectacles" the 8 of Diamond denote "being insightful" or "looking into the future".

This card tells you what is coming up (cards to the right) after you have gone through what you must (cards to the left).
The cards together can show:

Definite delays. No matter how many efforts you put in, there will be blockages. You will have to be patient and wait if you want a resolution to your problem. You have no other option!

This literally happened to me the time when I got them together in a daily draw. I had no choice but to be patient and face delays.

Tower + Birchrod/Birch/Whip and Rod

Note:
These meanings and associations are personal, learnt through time and experience. Your cards might show you the meaning of this combination in a different way.Last, but not the least, this is not the only meaning associated with this combination.

Tower is the card of authority, something that has been standing there firmly for years and years, Government, structure, power, ambition, something that has always been there and never really gone.
In career, this card talks about ambition, independence, where you stand head held high.
In love, this card is always separation, or split.
In work and jobs, its Government, structured organizations, courts, hospitals and with Book, University.A high building.
Emotionally, its loneliness, a feeling of being OK being alone.
In terms of medicine, its the spinal column.
As a person, he is someone tall, thin, loves structure and authority, and is pretty organized. It can also be someone alone, single etc.

Whip on the other hand is the card of negotiations, arguments, discussions, troubles, breakups, documents etc. Something is going to be discussed and the discussion is going to get little heavy. Interestingly, this card , like the Tower, also represents separation but in a different way. Tower represents separation because you feel secure and comfortable being alone, or you are alone because of your pride, ego etc. The Whip on the other hand is the separation because of arguments, fights and quarrels. It can also represent something that needs to be done twice. Another theory describes that Rod side is what is discussed behind closed doors and Broom side is what is discussed in public.
This card also talks about emotions that are intense, specially sexual chemistry.
As Jack of Clubs, this is a person who is young, sporty, hard working and active.
A sports lover or an admirer.

Together they can indicate:

  • A trouble with authority
  • A court case
  • A negotiation
  • A discussion between two people, where one is trying to make the other bend down, and the other person does not give up at all (telling you from experience).
  • A separation because of both ego and quarrels.
  • Sexual arousal.

House + Heart; Home is where the Heart is!

Note:
These meanings and associations are personal, learnt through time and experience. Your cards might show you the meaning of this combination in a different way.Last, but not the least, this is not the only meaning associated with this combination.

House card talks about your residence, your home, not to mention, home is where the heart is. The cards that surround this card tell us what is going on at home, or in one's personal space. Like I said above, home is the place which gives you shelter, makes you feel protected, secure and the feeling of "at home". This can be a person as well, who makes you feel all these things.

With the playing card insert of King of Hearts, this is a person who is protective and family-oriented and somewhat paternal. My dad is Scorpio Sun, Venus and Moon, therefore, I associate this card with him. This card makes me think of him. But if you are reading for yourself, it can be a man in your life who is passionate, artistic and emotional. He is really sensitive.

Heart on the other hand is love, feeling of affection, warmth, compassion and a human physical heart. In older cartomancy meanings, Jack of Hearts represents an emotionally insecure, immature and lazy man. In modern meanings, its usually a lover. This is a person you feel love and affection for. A favoured child.
For older women, it can represent a son, and for younger women it can be a lover or lover. This is someone you have an emotional attachment with.

The meanings I associate with this combination are:

My father and brother: King of Hearts is my dad for me. My eldest brother is his favourite child, and he holds a strong bond with him, thus, its two of them

My love for my father/family. Since I love him a lot, he is probably the most important man in my life, I feel an affection and warmth in my heart for him.

Love at home, love for family. Any card (person or other) near the card 04-House means home and family for me. So this card means love/warmth/affection for family members or members of family feel love for each other.

Traditionally, a King and Jack of Hearts together could mean the Return of an old lover. I have somewhat experienced this aspect too in a daily draw. Someone I once had an attachment with kind of made a re-entry in my life.

Roads/Crossroads/Paths + Child

Note:
These meanings and associations are personal, learnt through time and experience. Your cards might show you the meaning of this combination in a different way.Last, but not the least, this is not the only meaning associated with this combination.

The traditional meanings associated with this card are decision point, a choice, alternative, options, open-nature, walking etc. However, I have come to know that this card also represents a new chapter opening, a journey which begins, a change in situation. This is what happens when we make a choice or make a decision. Of course everything that happens is the result of something, some choice, we made before. We find ourselves walking on a path because we chose it at some prior time when we were presented with a choice.

The picture shows a point from where you can take at least three routes. Now you are not aware which path will lead you where, so you have a choice, options or alternatives. Besides that you have to decide whether you want to keep moving, or you want to stand there and keep wondering what you ought to do.

Child is the card of new beginning, a matter which is in its early phases yet but has potential for growth. Several meanings associated with Child are new things, new beginning, an actual child, a young woman, a person who is younger than you, someone who looks young, naivety, purity and innocence.

Together they could be:
New journey, few options, new alternative. A young lady faces a choice, a new start for a lady who has been standing at a crossroad for a long time.

When they both appear together, you should know that a new chapter is going to begin, but its in your control. You can take a step and embrace it, or let it pass you by. However, if you do take a step forward, you might be surprised by what you find.

Lenormand Small Combinations!

I have found that using monthly Grand Tableau is a great way to make some personal combinations. This can be done using houses approach.

For those who are unaware, houses are the 36 cards, placed in their original numerological order and then each house (card) represents one area or aspect of your life. e.g Clover is luck and success, Ship is house of longing. You can check this out, it is where I learnt it from :)

Every month, we are well aware what happened around us in this one month. We know how lucky we were, what we felt, what happened in our love lives etc. Iris Trppners says that when interpreting houses, The original ruler of the house comes first and the card that is now in that house comes to the right. e.g when I have Ring in house of Rider, the combination would be Rider + Ring and not the other way round.
e.g here in my picture, Rider + Ring, Clover +Fox, Ship + Bear and so on. I have done this for my Grand Tableau and found it gives a great method to formulate our own combinations. Of course I was not able to put my finger on each of the combination, but most were eerily right.

For sake of convenience, I wrote the spread down and then under it wrote the house ruler (I'm sure that's not what they are called but someone had to come up with a name). This gave me around 26 personal combinations for this month and I wish I had done this before with other GTs I've done in past. Its easier this way since we have a focus (what happens with my health this month, what happened in love life, what gave me pain) and then the cards in those houses, it was a nice experience.

Coffin+Dog+Man; Lenormand Combos

This was one of the daily draws which actually worked really well.

The interesting point is Numerology in this spread. 8-18-28, The sequence and presence of 8 in every card suggested some heavy-duty stuff for that day. 8 is my birth number and is ruled by Saturn, the number of restrictions and Karma. Number 8 has usually caused delays, pains and tough situations and lessons learnt the hard way in my life. This number has shape like the infinity sign and is about reaping what you sow.

With that here, I had to be ready to reap what I sow. The appearance of Dog means it is some friend of mine who is very loyal towards me. The Man is next to Dog, this tells me this is a man I'm so devoted and loyal towards. The Coffin tells me this loyalty or this friend of mine is going to pose me some pain. Coffin is about ending of something and starting a fresh cycle of life. The Coffin suggested this friend of mine is in Pain, or is going to give me some pain.

I ended up having a one to one conversation with a friend whom I have hurt a lot in past and I had to end a few things with him so that we can start afresh. I literally ended my friendship with him and told him we need to start over and we did.

When Coffin with Dog appears, you will know you have to hurt a friend, but only to start it from scratch and only in a different way this time. Number 8 is never easy, there are no short-cuts. You have to be honest and go one step at a time.

Good luck with number 8!

Storks + Letter + Lilies

This one was for today:

Storks are one of my most favourite cards in the deck. They used to appear a lot for me when my life was transforming at so many different levels and they are the bringers of good news, improvements, good changes in life. Storks bring some nice upward movements in life, some increase, a change which is nice, depending on surrounding cards.

Letter is an email, a message, a document, usually a message as a general statement will do it.

Lilies is a lover if you are in love, or an important man in your life. My boyfriend has been represented by Lilies often, therefore, my thoughts automatically go towards him when I see this card.

Storks bring an improvement, a change or something better. What will bring this change/improvement? The Letter at centre looks like a significant message, From who? The card to right describes. Its a message from a lover, or an older/wiser man. It can be a piece of advice as well.

What happened was that I thought Lilies was my bf and I expected some happy news, some significant message from him, but nothing. He was busy for most part of the day and when he did talk to me, there was so much negativity going on in my head, it just was not the Storks+Letter moment.

After that, a friend of mine, who also happens to be a secret admirer (I don't have him considered as a lover though) brought some nice changes to my mood. He actually just text chat with me and try to resolve the situation and that turned my mood instantly better.

Advice:
  1. When 17-Storks appear, look for a change
  2. When 27-Letter appear, look for a significant message
  3. When 30-Lilies appear, its not necessarily your boyfriend or lover, it can be some sincere wise advisor kind of friend too.

Good luck with the Storks and hope they bring positive changes for everyone who have them in their draw for today!

Whip+Lady; Lady+Scythe+Man

This was a very interesting incident when I drew these cards out for my daily draw last week.

The original three card draw was

Whip - Lady - Scythe

I saw myself being very aggressive and argumentative. I wanted to see who will be the victim of my hasty or ill-thought aggressive decision *evil grin* so I drew a clarifying card. Wooha, it was Man card. Someone was becoming a victim that day.

Whip is trouble, discussions that get heated, arguments, break-up, conflict and suffering here.

Lady is of course me.

Scythe is danger, cut at something, aggression, break-up

Man is of course someone around you.

Now the theme looks like fighting or breaking away and it looks like I'm the one doing it. To who, for this I pulled out the clarifier, which was Man.

I was having a meeting with someone that day and I knew I'd not fight. Why would I break up with him?

The result was that I actually ended up saying "I want to go home" because things did not work the way we had planned. I don't like when that happens so I was flipping a lot.

So when Whip and Scythe appear, you know you will snap.
Have fun learning!

Coffin+Book+Heart; Lenormand Small Combinations

This was a significant daily draw from yesterday.

Book is secret here for me. It can also represent studying, exam, apprenticeship etc, but here it is secret.

Heart is your love life, a love in your life right now, feeling, warmth and compassion. With the playing insert, it can be some loving and caring person as well.

Coffin is the pain, the illness, but the good part is its always presenting you with a new beginning. Death is just another form of life, re-birth and re-creation. If your love is giving you pain, it simply means you are provided an opportunity to make it last longer, stronger and better.

Book + Heart is a secret love. It can also be the love you don't know about or when you don't know what the other person is feeling.

Coffin + Book = This suggests there will be some pain coming out in open from hiding. Some revelation will make you sad and depressed.

In one line "Not knowing about one's feelings, will bring you pain"

What actually happened was that since after meeting my love, we have not had a chance to talk. Its so important to talk specially after a date, and about telling each other what you were feeling and all, but he has constantly been trying to talk to me but gets stuck up with things and when he's free I'm stuck up with things. I was expecting a lot about talking to him today since it was Sunday, but he ended up being stuck and we could not.The thing that was giving me pain was that I wanted to know what he's been feeling after meeting me and this is exactly what I can't feel.

I'm just hoping "This too shall pass".

Good luck with the week ahead!

P.S I forgot to add the base card I took a peek at, it was Sun. I have written about the Sun card and it is the most optimistic card in the deck and my personal favourite.

Small Lenormand Combinations: Roads + Child

I have been working on card combinations for a while and I will be updating a few which provided me with great information:

Here is the first one. This was my draw for 13 December when my boy friend asked for my number and rang me for first time.

Roads + Child.

22- Roads (Crossroad) = escape, alternative, another option, two, a choice, summing something up, indecision, a woman (Queen of Diamond) who is dependable and diligent.

If you carefully look at the Crossroads Card in this deck, you can see this is a point where two roads are converging and then dividing again into two paths. Therefore, it can be either coming to a conclusion after a decision has been made, or facing a choice.

13- Child : A young girl, something in budding, a matter starting fresh, something that has potential for growth, new, Youth (male or female).

When I looked this combination, I knew something new is going to happen, It can be a new path after I have travelled and made a decision what I want to do and now I will start a new journey. Child has never really represented me, therefore, I could not say it was me, but if the reader is really young, or immature, it can be representing him/her as well. This combination tells us that there is a new way to be adapted. You have to either stop here, keep yourself in dilemma, keep evaluating whether the choice you made in past was right or wrong, or you can simply move on to the new path and see what it brings for you.

I wanted to share this combination because this has brought me the love of my life and if I had held back or be indecisive about whether I should talk to him or not (we have an unconventional story, ahem) then I would be missing the best part of my life.

Happy Learning!
